Hi, no im not retarded, but i really have no clue when i started these things hahhahah. 4 weeks? 7 weeks? no idea....

This is my best looking plant and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how close i am to bloom time. The strand is bubbleciuos if that helps. I would like to get them as big as possible, so can i just let em grow until space becomes an issue and then veg? But, untimatly my question is how close until I should bloom my pretty stinky babies.

I grow a bunch of small ones to better suit my space and I only veg them for 2 to 3 weeks after they have rooted. If that plant were mine and I knew its sex I would be taking cuttings from it and rooting clones then flowering it shortly afterwards.

Some people say its the size of plant, others say to wait a certian amount of time upwards to 2 months, some others say to count the number of nodes before flowering, and there are SCROG growers that pretty much start flowering pretty much as soon as they can.

You have to figure whats going to work for you and know your plants/strain. Some strains will grow out quite amount during flowering others wont. You can pretty much grow them on the large 24/00 or 18/6 light cycle for as long as you wish. If the pictures shown is the size of your grow room that 1 plant fills it out pretty good and if there are multiple plants in there close to that same size I would be switching to flower ASAP.

No, not the grow room i have more space and 3 others like it, but i am going to be cloning from it shortly. Just have to do my research on that aspect. I also wanted to know what peoples thoughts of turning my extra bathroom's shower into a "mother" plant room where i could let one grow until it's hearts content. Let me hear some others advice as well please, Thank you Syriuslydelyrius

that plant is pretty mature for its height....remember its an indica dominant and will not have the stretch in veg like a sativa..that plant is going to stay squat like that and grow out ...indicas dont veg very tall at all...... :hump:

Cool, thanks guys yea im kinda proud of my first grow, but tonight i am doing the cutttings for clones (this part scares me), and in 2-3 days going to start blooming.

A couple to a few cuttings from each then a few days to recover before flowering and your fine. The more cuttings taken the longer you will need to veg before flowering.

Sounds scary yeah I suppose. The plant your taking the clippings from risk is that you cut too many and slow down the growth requireing alot more veg time or even the crazy extreem of taking so many clippings that it dies. Both of which are easly avoided. Its the cuttings that should scare you, getting as many as possible to grow roots. I would suggest taking just a couple of good (4 or 5 node) cuttings from each, and start the cloneing process while keeping the mother plants in the veg cycle untill after your clones have taken on roots. 2 or 3 clones from each gives you 6 to 12 plants for the next run and you started with 4 so just dont get too crazy making babys. Keeping the plants in veg untill after your clones have taken roots will allow you to take more cuttings if some didnt make it. Rooting a plant thats in the veg stage isnt too difficult now days with all the differant mediums, clone gels, methyods etc, that are out there. It gets much more difficult to root a cutting from a flowering plant so you can avoid that by making sure you have atleast some of that strain rooted before flowering there mothers.

Impressive start though... I sure wish my 1st grow looked that good.

Yea, im going to take 2 cuttings from each plant so i have 8 clones, as long as 6 make it ill be happy, just everything i read says 4-7 or so nodes which my ladies dont really have cept way up high. I'm really confused at where to take the cuts from and have been reading for 2 days now. So which 2 would i take from this plant? Also, i have read everything about lighting from no light for first 3 days to 24hours of light for first 2 weeks, can i use a 150 hps for a while? or go get florescent? so im confused there as well. I am using a cloning dome with rockwool and got some gel. Waiting on a response with one hand and a razor in the other, heheh. Just dont want to cut the wrong stem.

All the research I had done say you should wait about a week to get your roots started on your clones before you start to flower.

After you cut your clones off, make sure to put the stems under water and recut them so an airbubble doesn't block water uptake.

I also like to make light slash marks on my stems with a razor blade before I dip them in rooting powder, it makes for more places to grow roots from.

My habit is, take the clones, once the clones start showing vertical growth (3 weeks or so) then mom goes into flower.

Good luck, that's a very pretty plant you have there, nice growing.

Yeah you shouldnt go wrong by following all the good advice above and you have a wonderfull start. I just wanted to coment on one thing and that is where to take the clippings from. This would totally depend on how your growing, your room size, lighting, strain etc. If your growing in a SCROG type methyod taking clippings from mostly the lower portion of the plants while trying to keep a somewhat even canopy is the way to go. On the other end of the spectrum taking the very top cutting of a plant is done for various reasons. The top clipping is a good start of a new plant for one thing and other reasons inlcude things like bushing the plants out making a tall growing strain more managable indoors and etc. Its amazing how big and bushy you can train a plant into being as long as you have the room and lighting required.

Yea I have another 8 feet of height atm and am running out of floor space with the 4 I have now, i've just been folding under the really long lower shoots so everything can actually fit. My next grow i would love to try going really tall and not so wide but have no idea how. got a link to anything that would teach me? And thanks for alll you responses.

BTW all 6 cuttings i took seem to be doing fine and just might make it.
