When should i change to larger pots

I currently have about 7 plants about 2.5 weeks in, under 2 24" florescent tube lights in 18/6 light cylcle. not sure if one is gonna start growing more it came out of the soil but seed casing still on top. temperature is usually around 80 deg F. humidity between 40 and 55.

I'm watering about every 2 days or when soil gets dry with regular tap water, and feeding about every 3rd watering with 10-2-8 food.

My plants seeming to be growing up real skinny and tall and im wondering how I can get them to have thicker stalks, because one already fell over so i put it in a taller pot and filled the soil up higher. Im also wondering when i need to start putting these in larger pots. Any other comments or advice to help this setup would be greatly appreciated. -Thanks

they are seedlings, which are going to stretch like mad regardless.
they are beginning to get more sets of leaves, and will soon stop stretching as much.
fluorescents typically cause more stretch as well as they are of less intensity than an HID.

i would repot them as soon as they all have two or three sets of leaves.
bury them in the soil up to within an inch of the first set of leaves.
also, try and get some better light on them..

Do you have the Floro's close inchs from there tops?

Get those lights down low. You want them practically on top of the leaves. The stems are weak and spindly because the lights are too far away. if you're using T5's you can put them less than an inch from the tops of the plants.

NEVER feed a baby seedling. They don't need fertilizer until they are at least 2.5 - 3 weeks old and the cotyledons start dying.

My suggestion would be to make sure that your fluorescent light is but a few inches away from the tops of your seedlings--the further away the light, the more they will stretch to grow towards it. Also, make sure that you are not over watering your seedlings, as this may rot their roots. Also try watering them with B1, a root strengthening nutrient/additive. And as far as the pots are concerned, they appear to be ample sized. You could probably use them for until you are ready to flower (depending on how big you want to grow them). Hope this helps

You can upcan or transplant or re-pot your plants when your root system is strong enough, which is usually indicated by the leaf sets, the more the better. But don't wait too long or the plant will get root bound. I like to transplant when I have at least two or three sets of "true leaves", fan leaves.
