leave her in the dark for 24/ hours prior to the chop, dont expose her to light when you make the cut, hang her and pluk back the big fan leaves with no trichs. Let her swing for a two or three days till the stems almost snap but dont break., then do your trimming, I like to get alot of stems out but sometimes your buds have higher leaf to apex ratio so you CANT get them all. trim them however you like they are yours. save your dry trim for hash in a ziplock in the freezer till you do w/e with it, I suggest dry ice sift. Btw, congrats. Also look into curing jars. I like half gallons not packed tight so its easy to release the excess moisture as you cure them the next 2-4 weeks. Nothing beats a good cure, look it up!
wow thank you so much for the advice. Really it helped a lot. Going to do exactly what you said. One thing i have trouble with is the hash making. I dont have much money to put into it but is there a cheap way like under 40$ to make good bubble hash or whatevrr is best.
I have 3 jars right now which should be good. What is your technique when it comes to curing. Sorry for all the questions ive just done so muxh research on it and it seems everyone does shit differently. Seems that there isnt any specific way

Harvested only the tops nugs. One of my plants was not topped at all weighing in at 41 grams wet. another plant was topped once and both colas were 30 grams each. Both same environment. Here some pics. I left the bottom nugs on until they peak out a bit more. How long would you say i should leave them? Its day 65 i think
when i do a split harvest i just wait till the pistils have receded into the bud. Some say it's a waste to harvest a plant in 2 stages but it will make those "popcorn buds" fill out quite a bit.
Thats what im hoping. I hear arguments of both sides. So i decided to just see if it worked. How long should i leave the buds on there? Like a week or so? Few days?

Yeah those are the nugs that are ready here some pics of some trimming i did on the 2 plants so the lights can penetrate the small buds.
Watch cheap bags. I had a $50 set that the fibers disintegrated into the hash. It tasted like plastic, looked at it under an eye loupe and you could see little colored threads in it. I ran just water through the bags and found small fibers in samples of the water. I was able to rewash and save most of it in a different, better, set of bags a friend had. I'm spending some decent money on some good bags when i buy new ones.
A week maybe a little longer, just watch the caliyx's swell/pistils receding. When they get plumped up, chop the rest.
