Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain ……. Uhhhh … I mean the hairs. Sure lots of orange hairs look really cool in pictures but it is the trichs and the trichs only that tells you when to harvest and if you will get more of a head high or a couch lock high. Milky equals more head high and amber equals more couch lock and brown equals more stuff to throw on your compost pile.
Now if you are looking for a ceiling-less head high and you have an indica or indica predominant strain you will not turn it into a sativa buzz by harvesting when the trichs are milky but you will at least get as much of a head high as you can out of the plants genetics if you harvest when the trichs are milky.
If you want a head high grow sativas or sativa predominant genetics and if you take them when they are milky you will get a Mt. Everest-like altitude high. If you want your butt so glued to the couch that you need to wear Depends because you won’t even get up to go take a leak grow an pure heavy indica or indica prominent genetics and harvest it when the trichs are amber.
If you think you might want variety then harvest half or most or some of your plant or some of your plants when the trichs are milky and leave the rest of the plant of some of your plants to age a little longer and when trichs are amber or some are amber and some are milky then harvest and that way you will have some variety.
