you can start now !!

or just when ever your ready

remember that they double in size when you flower them

so when their about half the size that you want them to be then switch to 12/12

If they just got transplanted, you need to give them at least one week to settle in. Don't stress them. How tall are they? If they are 18" I say after the week, flower. If not 18" it is best to wait.

If you look from the bottom up and count 6-7 nodes, you should see the pre sex right there where the branch stem takes off from the main stem.

If its a male it will have a tiny stem and a upside down spade on top, if its a female, no stem just a spade shape, which hairs will come out of.

Start them indoors in around febuary and bring them outside early to mid may to ensure they dont get hit by very late fros. if you live way up north you might want to wait until early june before taking the plants outside.

flowers usually look better when bought from the nursury as seedlings, but if you plan on growing from seed i would also start them in late febuary maybe early march so they are in flower by june.

Don't go to 12/12 until the plants show sex. Otherwise they will not yield as much.

Good luck, BigSteve.

bummer looks male to me from ya pic..but i have just looked at a plant when its about 2 weeks old and it is usally verry visable as in the pods with a hair is female and 2 balls will form if male aka paollen sacks...more so in flower or 12/12....and the spots look like posibly a critter of some sort eggs

yeah you will either get some balls coming out of that if its a male or a white hair will come poking out of that showing females, at least thats how my two girls look, they both have white hairs right there where your showing
