I have two plants, 2 weeks old, in party cup-size containers. The soil is happy frog. I haven't given them any nutes. I was wondering when I should transplant them, and also when I should give them nutes ( I have micro grow bloom fertilizer).
The dime in the first picture is to give you size comparison.

i would feed half or 1/3 rd of nutes every other watering but im no expert.you should have put more soil in pot to begin with.as far as transplanting i ve seen 3 foot plants in a pot that size.it cant be rootbound yet..i agree with pureblood,it could go another 2 or 3 weeks if needed.i wouldnt be in a big hurry.just my opinion --and opinions are like assholes----everyones got one---- good luck with your plant.

Lol thanks. I don't want it so rootbound that i have to damage the root system when transplanting when I loosen the rootball. I'll transplant in a week or so. Thanks so much.

If you don't get it in some light you wont need to transplant it!! :P

I transplant when the roots are coming out of the bottom... I'd hold off on nutes till you transplant it. Get it in some good dirt and you wont even need any..

K. The soil medium i have them in has a very low concentration of nutes, so I'll probably have to start feeding it very lightly before transplanting =)

No man, full sun... It needs it.. Being you've had it in part sun you might want to gradually get it in the full sun so you don't sunburn it, but you need to get it in full sun very soon otherwise it's going to get leggy.

cant see it gettin much hotter than what a 600 or 1000 watt hps would do to it!!!
Ya got a point =) I live in the desert with highs of triple digits even now in the fall. The pictures I took, i placed them deliberately in the shade to reduce glare for my camera. I actually keep them under a 400 watt mh bulb right now... Oh that reminds me, can anyone tell me when I should switch from my current 20/4 to 12/12 with an HPS? Remember they are currently 2 weeks old. Thank you in advance

Um i also have one more question if you guys would oblige =) I heard that I can pinch the tops off the plants so that they branch out? Could someone please give me the specifics on this (like where to pinch, and when?) These are white widows.

i would definitely transplant the plant soon. The tiny pot you have it in, is going to stunt it. waiting for the roots to bind on the bottom of the pot, will lead to recovery time. This is because you bind the roots in a tiny pot, If you do wait this long, when you transplant, you will prune the root on accident. This will slow the plant down in its new pot.

The life time of my plants get 2 pots. a small 1 cubic foot pot. This will promote a very tight root ball.

When the plant begins to grow its second set of leave's i transplant to a 2 Gallon pot. To do this i do as follows:

Run a butter knife along the sides of the pot, loosening the dirt from the side of the pot... once you have done this, make a piece sign with your fingers, and put the stem between your fingers, and your palm/hand on the soil. Flip the pot upside down, your plant will slide out. Gently place in larger pot, and cover root ball with dirt.

Do not shake the dirt off your roots, Wear gloves, lightly water and foiler feed after transplant.

Everyone prefers to grow their own way. This is how i do it. By 14 - 21 days most of my plants are working on their 4th or 5th node. and are about 4 - 5 inches tall.
