when should you flush when using hydro setup?
say you need to flush for a week how do you know when that week is?
how can you tell if your plant will be done in a week?
do the colors of the tricomes take a certain amount of days that they turn color?
meaning from clear to cloudy to amber to both

Each strain has a set amount of time to flower, I'm using a flushing agent with a 60 day strain and I just started flushing in a DWC setup with the plants harvest date of 7/8/2011. The trics are a bit cloudy with some amber on the lower branches. The strain is purple maroc.

I Never flush! Why would you stop feeding plants at the point where they are packing on the most weight? In soil, there is a build up of nutrients/salts in the soil so it is adviseable to flush. In Hydro, no such problems exist. If you have more than one plant, flush some but carry on feeding others and I promise you, the next time you harvest, you will not flush!! If you must flush though, it all depends when you intend to harvest. If you want 30% ambers, flush when you get 10% ambers. If you want 10% ambers, flush at around 75% cloudy. As for the breeders time frame, those are relative to the conditions they grow in and I have yet to find a strain that matches breeder times for 30% amber trichs. I am sure they just make up a figure based on weather the strain is an Indi or Sat and work on a sliding scale for hybrids! JMO W JMO W
