when to add light?

i started some ice from seeds, and i have them in one of those greenhouse trays with cover

they are about 1 inch long in rockwool. i have two questions:

when do i start adding light to them?
lastly, when should i take them out of the green house container?

christ...Now and now, they will live with the cover but i only keep it on cuttings, seeds only need it for a few days just to keep the soil moist during germination, cuttings need it more because they have no roots to start out with and need all there water from the air

how long should i leave lights on the seedlings before switching to 18/6 veg, or is it fine to do 18/6 on seedlings?

i do 24/0 till they have built a good root system then i like to do 18/6 for a month..but im sure you will have ppl tell you its ok to have it on 18/6 from the start.... i just prefer 24/0 for the first week or two!!!

you can use 18/6 on seedlings.. mh workes the best once it has a set of true leaves then make the switch from 24 to 18/6.. dont bury the stock that may rot the stalk just put a small fan on them or maybe some barricade from an they will thicken up if u want to bury it bury it with hydron balls that will support it and let it breath..

thanks everyone for the help.

currently i have just 1 27watt daylight cfl about 3-4 inches from seedlings.

after a week i will increase cfls, then 2 week 16 cfls and 250watt MH, then HPS and soft cfls for flower.

i have 4 seedlings, i'll be happy if at least 2 make it, first grow.

as long as you dont panic and over water/nutes them u will make it no problem if u need help u know where tto get it
