When to add molasses?

Well, my question is pretty much in the title: when should I use molasses? I'm growing in dirt, indoors- I've read somewhere that it should be used towards the end of the flowering cycle, but the search engine on this forum kinda stinks and I couldn't locate the thread again. Oh, and how much should I use (per gallon of water, or is it just added directly to the soil?) Thanks all

you can use molasses all along the grow as it is beneficial in many ways... it feeds the beneficials in the soil.. it is also an anti fungal so it will help keep your soil clean from fungus/mold... it also has some trace elements that your plants use.. use it at a rate of 1 tsp. per gallon of water with each feeding.. it can be fed all the way up to harvest also.. this will give your girls something to eat during the final flush..

good luck

I can tell you a bad time to add molasses. That be when they are in mid veg and you give them about 2 capfuls per gallon. Like to kilt them poor babies. In fact it may have been the root cause since they all wound up dying later on in Bloom. Looked like them poor things had got hit by an H Bomb at the time it was added. On previous grows I had a little ritual for flowering of nutes one day..mollases the next..followed by a clear water flush on day 3 with the cycle being repeated till harvest. I worked up to 2 capfuls (which I would imagine be close to a Tablespoon per cap, have to measure that one of these days) could not tell that the molasses helped them any at that stage of growth. Whether it hurt anything I cant say for sure. Needless to say I am sorta scared of it at this point.

Hmm, will take that into account. Sounds like "late flowering" might be the best time to experiment with it- and maybe just on a few to see if there's any noticeable difference. Thanks.
