when to count down flowering

when do i start counting days for the start of flowering. the day i put in 12/12 or the day i see white hairs (pre flowers)

well its not really a count, its not like every plant(of a specific seed) will take exactly 80 days to flower. it depends on grow medium, care, environment, light, and general happiness of the plant. So dont pay too much attention to the specific numbers.

for conversation sake though you count from the day you flip to 12/12

you should get preflowers within a week or two, then buds starting around 3

ya thats wut i meant was for conversation because i have a month 1 1/2 month old been in flowering for almost 4 weeks and no significant bud formation

yeah it depends on the plant genetics, the lights used, light proofing, and far too many factors for me to list. are there preflowers and buds of any sort?

Counting days is a complete waste of time.
For $20 you can get yourself a 30 times jewelers scope to look at the trichomes.
The color consistancy of the trichomes will determine when is a good time to cut them down.

When I grew, I cut them down when they were 1/2 milky and 1/2 amberish color.
