When to foliar feed in relation to soil feed

I was thinking about this recently. I usually will do my foliar feed in between soil applications. I was thinking if there are any negative effects to foliar feeding in the afternoon and then soil feeding that night??

When do u foliar brah??:bigjoint:

Lol why can't people actually be helpful? I miss those days.
I usually foilar once a week, usually inbetween feedings.
I really doubt that it makes a difference when in the day you feed, and if it does make a diffrence, I have yet to see a study that says so
I know right. Whats the point lo. That is what I do. One time weekly. I missed my normal day, so I was a little hesitant to foliar in the afternoon ahead of my scheduled regular feeding. Only reason is I've never done it.

I foliar feed in veg and some early sexing plants. I use a weak mix of pure blend botanicare grow. I do it when I feel plants want it and leave them be when they dont. could be daily for a week or two. or not for a couple weeks too. I suggest foliar early enough in lights on to evaporate the excess moisture before night time just because it makes me feel better.

You arnt concerned at all about burning the plants? Idk if it's just a myth but I usually try to foilar closer to lights off because I've read that the light can be amplified by the water droplets and create heat spots on the leafs

myth. I've never burnt my plants when using straight water....NOT ONCE. I have seen azamax burn because of the oil in it. I've even foliar'd with Heavy 16 during lights on in veg. But I also make sure I don't have a stagnant environment for the water to just sit. I like to foliar an hour before lights come on, fans kick on 30 mins before lights.

I've used the same mix for years no issue. I've even sprayed neem a few times in the beginning(because I learned here "you must to prevent mites and mold in veg-wtf-) on the leaves during lights on with no issue. used to veg under 400/600 mh/hps now t5's, neither had issue. never had mites, dont use neem, never had mold. what a crock.

I tend to only foliar Cal mag if I see an issue. I've expiremented with some seaweed extract foliar feeding. Neptunes Harvest. I've also dabbled w Liquid Light which makes my girls leaves under an LED absolutely jacked. I have yet to see the same under my HIDs though. More play with both will come with my next veg cycle.

I use Optic Foliar Overgrow and can spray anytime during light schedule. It can be sprayed during lights on. No burns , no issues. It absorbs rather quickly and changes to plant are noticeable in 24 hours. It works against bugs and fungus too.

I have also foliar my clones with Dr. Earth Root Zone or Clonex liquid dilution depending what I got on hand.

Good thing because we get a lot of sun showers here and all the plants would die :(.

It has humic and folic acids combined with kelp extract.

??? Kelp extract contains Fulvic and Humic. Humic is simply a longer chain form of Fulvic acid...

I'll water my soils with FUL HUMIX from Bio-Ag at the point of cooking new soils. There is NO better Humic/Fulvic on the market! PERIOD!

Liquid based, bottled Humic's from nutrient makers are weak and impure to say the least....They (any Humic/Fulvic) work best by being applied to the soil.....

Here is my argument/question with foliar feeding or foliar anything for that matter. High humidity/moisture is not good for the grow environment as it is conducive to fungal infections ect, we know this as p.m flourishes in said environment also possibly making the plants susceptible insect colonization. My outdoor hydrangeas got fried because the leaves were wet and we had an intense "sun shower" as previously mentioned so yes, inside and out too much light/ water and BURN!!! These are my opinions only and not the majority vote but if you are foliar feeding then why is your plant not getting all that it needs from the" medium" your growing in like they are supposed to?
