That'll work, first one I built was that exact container. You'll just have to spray paint or cover the clear part with foil or something that will block out light. Probably be a good idea to do the same to the lid as well. And for the airstone that 10inch will work but I'd use 2 of them in parallel with each other.
Sweet,thanks bro! You think I'd be fine with running 2 of them off of the same single outlet cheap walmart air pump using a t-splitter? Or should I just use a second cheap pump so they're both getting good air?
You can try using 1 but my guess is that you'll need 2
Unfortunately I think I agree,air takes the path of least resistance so one of the stones could be getting must of the love I suppose.
