I am not too up on autos but the last time I played with them the 'word' was not to stunt or cause any type of shock. You have a set clock on the veg and start of flower; anytime you give them stress that takes away from the growth and budding time. When I did my run I even started them in their forever pots so no transplanting. Guessing you might want to rethink the SOG thing or see what happens, I like to experiment as well.
