When to start flushing, harvest, first grow so looking for some help.

Don't listen to the noobs man. If you want a couch lock high wait tell about 50/50 like you were saying you harvest now you will still get high but it will be mainly a head high. Be patient man it is looking awesome for a first grow. Good luck and happy growing

I think in the last few days it will have plenty enough power left to put itself to death.
Again just another opinion Flushing appears to be a long standing tradition since before
I was born Jorge and others point to a harsh taste and ugly burn
The nothing for the last few days is supposed to cut down the dry
time a bit. I give one heavy water then simply feed water for the last
few weeks. nothing for the last few days. Dry it then cure this shizzle
out of it. Should smell, taste and burn great. Some point to a white ash
as a sign that you have flushed properly. (if there is such a thing. However
I can not see guerrilla growers/cash croppers
easily flooding their mountain plants that are 12 feet+ x1500 but that is the
nice part about not living on a god forsaken mountain. We have a small set of chores we can easily manage
if you schedule and plan. Take notes on which plants finish when, how tall they were when they were flipped
How much they grew. What you did with your water like add cal/mag ect.. When you fed.
So hopefully your next grow will be easier and you will have some wiggle room for testing. Throw a matching
set in the flower room and don't flush one and you decide.

yes they are clear when they first show up. thats why you want the resin glands to be fully formed, bulbous heads. its obvious from the close up pictures you show that not all of the gland heads are fully formed yet. i would let them go further on that alone.

looking at the bud and full sized shots its definitely got some time to go, and you have other problems to solve that could hinder it's finish time.

I'm still waiting on the buds to bulk up... But what are these other issues you speak of? Only problem I've had is when I got lazy an switched from distilled water to tap... The leave tips and edges started to brown and curl. I've switched back to distilled and everything appears fine. Is that the issue you noticed or am I not seeing something. Is the brown edges something other than the water? I didn't think much of it because it aall happened when I got lazy with the water.

And I just noticed my ph was all fucked up. Was 4.9... It had been rock solid on 5.7 for like 3 weeks. Adjusted again back to around 5.7 so hopefully that doesn't screw anything up... Checked ph last about 4 days ago.

sounds like you got it under control. but man, that is some nasty tap water if it burned the leaves that much.

Could the ph being off cause it to stop taking up nutes and cause that? Or would that only be from too much nutes... That is, if this isn't from the tap water.

Flushing started this morning... 10% amber trichs... Looking for it to finish 50/50...

I'm probably driving myself crazy, but it's my first grow and fuck it, I've just succumb to the fact that I'm going to be a bit paranoid until I smoke this lady lol. So yesterday I cleaned the res and it has just straight ph'd distilled water in it now... I started looking at more of the plant and I'm still not convinced that it's ready to start flushing... This plant is taking a seriously long time... We are on day 70 of flowering now... Here are pics of the trichomes up close... you guys tell me... I'm planning on a 1-2 week flush... I'm just clueless as to how quickly these trichs will turn amber... Yesterday when I pulled a piece to look under the microscope I saw a handfull of amber trichs... now, same bud, different piece and I'm seeing almost no amber... I want about a 20-50% amber trich count when I chop her...



If anybody thinks I'd benefit by putting nutes back in for a week and then flushing let me know... or if I should just ride this for 2 weeks flushing...

IMO those pics are not telling you much. Only look at the trics that are in focus.
Out of focus trics look amber in my scope. Have the buds started to swell yet.

how noticeable is the swell... First grow so I really don't know... they look like they've been growing... that's all I can really say lol, I'm not sure. I mean do they fatten up a lot to where it is obvious?

Another snippet from the same bud just towards the bottom had about 30% amber... I've decided to put about 400 ppm of nutes in the tank and just top off the rest of the way with plain water... Going to go 2 weeks and then chop... That way the immature buds have a bit more time and I can get a mix... head high and body high...

My first grow too, got a sativa sour d seed from my local dispencery, been all lst'd to the container lol its huge vegged 5 weeks now 6 weeks flowering under 400w hps

I forgot to update this thread... I ended up chopping the plant down 6/22... It's currently curing... I ended up with 4.7 Oz dried... I'm pretty fucking happy with that, and it's a damn good high... And knowing it's only going to get better as it cures make me happier... Looking for new seeds now, I'm thinking about White Widow... I just want a short plant this time, but don't want an auto.

I could have easily had over 5 Oz too if I didn't have the mold problems with the top cola... Not bad at all for CFL's.
