Any pics? Do you plan to top first?
This is my first grow and Ive read wildly different opinions online (fancy that!) about whether topping an auto is a good idea or not especially for a n00b. Would be interested in your thoughts?
I agree be very very careful everything is tender and will break if you are too rough.
Well Hydro isn't around now I guess, but I say top it if you want. But pics are always helpful.
I'd probably wait a few more days, then just pluck the very top off.

I’d wait til you had at least 1 set of branches starting to sprout from the lower nodes. If you bend, and there’s nothing to catch the light it’s kinda pointless. Autos imo grow pretty rapid in veg. How much max height are you working with under your light source?
You can create large plants with LST alone.
right now i have 26 inches in between the LED and the canopy of the plant. LED is as high as it can go and it’s an HLG100 rspec so i can’t adjust or dim.
Thanks, that was what I was wondering and didn’t know if LST on its own w/o topping was a little easier for someone doing their first grow like me.
