When to start nutrients?

I have looked around and can't find this answer anywhere (possibly my nooby skills on this board are just not up to par).

I have 4 plants currently propogating in rockwool hempy pots, all are showing great progress in the root department my Northern Lights has over 1 inch roots hanging out the bottom of my rockwool.

I currently run a 7 pot system, 2 main hybrid DWC/Top Drip (I keep the water levels higher in the buckets and added airstones) and then a pvc top drip system, all integrated into one.

The question is in the title, but I was wondering when I should take these guys off the propagator and out of the humidor and into the hyro system on nutrients. I don't wnat to get them into the system until they are ready to take nutrients.

when your plants start turning light green or having other issues. and start with 1/4 to 1/2 strength doses.

So here they are, all looking good thus far, slightly lighter new growth and very minimal yellowing in the tips of the front left plant (Jack Herer) I was thinking by this weekend I can suck out my res and add fresh water, then the nutrients. And I was thinking about 1/4 strength for a week and then 1/2 strength 2 weeks later. 70 liter res so I don't need to change weekly.

The "Canna" lineup has a 1 part nutrient for young seedlings/sprouts/clones called "Start". You can use it full strength from day 1 until you are ready to move to full strength nutes of your choice. It has micro-nutrients in it as well and takes the worry out of nute mixing while young. I used it last grow and worried about it too being full strength but followed the directions and the results were amazing. I'll be using it for all future grows.

I agree with post above........

Thats kinda what I have been doing ......I use "clonex" liquid baby food for my clones at 300-400ppm.....Then when I transfer clones into my 10 inch baskets I continue to use clonex for about a week.....when my roots are down in the bubbles that is when I go to my GH 3 part, .....By this time they are ready for nutes, I start at 600ppm and go up from there.....

Your pic looks like a very small seedling, so you have a ways to go.......From the time I take my cuttings... they are in a cloner for three weeks and one more week in the tent useing liquid clonex only.......So I use baby food for 4 weeks,.Then I give them the juice...........nitro....

your leafs are pretty dark green as is right now so dont feed them anything yet. if you see any signs of yellowing or the plant starts turning light green start feeding them.

first and foremost if you're gonna do hydro get a ppm meter if you havent already. start plants of with low balanced ppm nutrient (200-400ppm on .7 conversion scale). I'd get that ppm meter before I switch them over to the hydro system but you can put them in the system now with plain Ph balanced water for the time being.
