hi guys i'm a new grower and wanted to clarify something. after i place the germinated seed in the pot/soil, do i place it under the lighting system immediately or do i wait a certain period of time before doing so? i'll be using an HO T5 system.

also, do most of you germinate seeds using the wet napkin method or do you stick the ungerminated seeds in soil from the start?

any help would be great, thanks!

You don't need light when you put them in the soil. They sprout much faster in a dark cool and humid enviorment. This will actually be more beneficial because the roots grow when it's dark.

I use the paper dish method where I just put water in a party plate and put some warm water in it. A day later they real open and I see their tails. Then I plant them directly in soil and then a day later they sprout. Now some seeds won't germinate this way or with the paper towel method so you just stick those seeds in soil and keep watering it. Keep them in the dark and 4 or 5 days later they sprout instead of a day. They just get a head start when they have their tails out.
