Is that bad for the plants ?

Makes em weak and stringy.. you want short n bushy, tight node spacing.. just replant them in a bigger pot and bury them up to the first set of leaves when new light gets there..

Let's see link for new light?

I'd raise the plants or lower the light in the meantime.
