I have 2 seeds that just sprouted. I have them in root riot plugs. I will be growing in a hempy bucket with 100% perlite. So when should I start using nutes? Since I am not using soil there is no food for the plants from the start.

dont give nutes until they are about 2 weeks old, and then start very very lightly with them. The best way to do it thouhg is to wait until the plant starts showing slight signs of nutrient deficancy, that way you know its used up all its seed nutrients and is ready for food.

ok thank you. So I should just keep them in the root riot plugs? I have them in a seedling tray. I have them under my T5 light. If not, what should I do with them now?

correct

I have used both peat plugs and rock-wool for hempy buckets, they both seem to work as well.

I transplanted it into the hempy as soon as a few roots start to poke through....but I see others wait much longer until many roots are showing

ok thank you for the reply. I have them under my 96watt T5 light with a humidity dome. So should I keep using the dome or no? They both have sprouted above the plug and both have lost the shell. nice and green.

You gotta find a balance. Keep using the dome, helps with humidity but they still need airflow now that they've sprouted. I usually leave the dome sitting on it in a way that fresh air can get in. I remove it once the plants are too big... that's my method at least.

personally I took my out of the dome as soon as they were nice and green....you can mist them once or twice a day if you like...but I didn't mist this time and they seem okay.
