Hi people..im currently coming up to 2 weeks to go and was wondering if anyone can tell me wen u stop using nutes ? any feedback would be great
Yeah just ph'd water, let the plant use it's leaves as energy for the last two weeks.never know who to listen to. lol. its my first grow and its gone so well.. 5 blue cheese, 2 L.A Confidentials..buds are a nice size..so u reckon just water everyday from now on >??
You are not going to exactly kill your plant by flushing for a few weeks with plain H20. Like iiKode said, it will live on stored energy and could do it much longer then a few weeks. And like HotRodHarley said, its idiotic to flush soil. You dont want to kill all those microbes you have have worked so hard to nurture (and honestly you wont anyways). The truth is that if you have not over fertilized your plants, you really do not need to flush. Its probably best practice to step down your nutrient use as your plants come to the finish line, but believe me, they are not going to suck up tons of extra nuts, so your just saving yourself some money. The downside of a big long flush is that you may just stunt a little bit of growth. Its probably not going to be real noticeable, and two weeks right before snip is probably not going to be a lot, but its still a possibility. The real upside is that it starts the drying/curing process a bit early. Of course I prefer a slower dry...as slow as I can get within reason really.never know who to listen to. lol. its my first grow and its gone so well.. 5 blue cheese, 2 L.A Confidentials..buds are a nice size..so u reckon just water everyday from now on >??
A good way to reduce your final yield..........Yeah just ph'd water, let the plant use it's leaves as energy for the last two weeks.
You do know how many leaves are on a plant? it has a lot of stored energy for the plant more than enough for a few weeks. You don't see out door natural plants having deficiencies do you? no they live off their leaves until they get some nutes via the ground.A good way to reduce your final yield..........
The nutes the plants need outside are there in plenty abundance all the time. There are tones of microbe communities, decay, runoff etc to keep most plants healthy if the environment is an open system and not full of detrimentals (clay, sand, poison etc) . The only times these sources dry up is during times of severe drought. And yes, that is when plants will go into survival mode. You can supplement your soil outside to make sure that there is a perfect available balance of these in your environment, but that is another story. You do know how many leaves are on a plant? it has a lot of stored energy for the plant more than enough for a few weeks.
