what exactly signifies the switch from the seedling phase to the veg phase? +rep
I'd say the 3rd set of real leaveswhat exactly signifies the switch from the seedling phase to the veg phase? +rep
everything i have ever read says 24/0 produces more males, while 18/6 produces more females... one of the many factors such as humidity, heat, types of nutes etc that determine the plants sex..I do a 24/0 for at least one month after germination. As soon as I see the water leaves show I consider it veg state.
BTW you'll get a high % of F like this too.
Not necessarily. But, the veg stage is designed for growth, not budding. If you planning on putting the plant into flowering early (12/12), do not expect a lot of "stash". Leaving in veg longer will only promote a better turnout, however there are a few strains that react negatively when veg'ing for too long.so dose a longer/shorter veg determine greater/weaker potency?
longer the veg, bigger the plant, (assuming you have enough lighting) the more bud you get, right?
You have to experience it I guess. All I know is if you use a warm flouro and a soft flouro right on top of the leaves moving them up daily, you will get more girls. That's a fact jack! My last grow was 9 beans, 9 girls. This grow is a 12/12 from seed and don't really like it because of the M to F ratio.everything i have ever read says 24/0 produces more males, while 18/6 produces more females... one of the many factors such as humidity, heat, types of nutes etc that determine the plants sex..
I have to call bullshit on that one. Send me a bean that you think is a M and I'll make it a F. I don't believe that and never will as long as I am doing it the way I've always done it. Maybe I've been 'lucky' ? 50 beans, 50 girls. No bullshit. Try it for yourself and see.light dont produce males or females, it genetics.
there have been many tests done that prove the opposite.... i knew someone who got 90-95 % females off of regular seed consitantly..light dont produce males or females, it genetics.
