When trimming?

is there a certain way or pattern when trimming? my plant is getting way bushy and i need to know if theres a certain way to trim and when to trim them (like time length in between trimmings) i don't want to stress it

i just hope it grows taller it's kinda staying short and bushy but it's growing tall wise to just not as much

look into lollipopping.... pretty cool technique. involves trimming off lower 1/3 of plants branches, allowing the plant to focus on single cola growth patters. this should be done about a week b/f 12/12 or two weeks into 12/12, or both. but some strains don't take kindly to different types of trimming. blueberry, for instance, like to be topped, not lollipopped, so its best to know what kind of growth your plant desires.

i decided to go LST and hopefully i will FIM sometime just not really sure if i want too though but it's actually going pretty well from what i can tell

to be honest i'd much rather have a short bushy plant. lolipopping can be an effective tool or a bad idea, depends on the plant like he said. but i usually take off all them lil popcorn buds-waste of space and energy imo.
