IMG_4476.JPG IMG_4475.JPG Hi all

My first time posting and new to the forum.
Heres my issue, My wife and I have some medical issues and we both got our medical to buy online, due to costs... I got us into growing our own. So this is our first set of girls growing and we decided on "Northern Lights" from MCS for our first grow.

Whats wrong!...... Well, so far nothing...lol everything has been going really good and all seems to be on track! Thanks to the copious amounts of youtube and google searches i've done.

Anyways, My girls are finally at their flowering stage and I thought we would have been done by now! So far it's been almost 13 weeks. (Nov to Jan 31, 2018)
I'm absolutely lost as to when they might actually be done and in real need of some TLC.

*History*
I started the seeds on the 1st of Nov took them about a week to germ and then they took off from there.
Now, it's Jan 30 and I'm finally starting to see the pistils and an actual change!
So, my question is, Now that the girls are finally in the flowering stage. How long till harvest?
one week from today
two weeks from today
or
it is more likely 3-5 weeks before they get to the point where you can harvest each plant individually based on the pistils and trichomes colors?

Why am I asking?

I got Married this summer and now we have booked our honeymoon to Hawaii in February and I'm now officially worried that they will be at the point of harvest when I'm away!
We will be back before the end of February. Will I make it...or do I need to educate and friend to take care of my girls?

Strain runs 45- 50 days flower time.

Some will say 45 - 60 all depends on what you like. Clear, Cloudy, Amber trichomes.
I like my trichomes to be cloudy to amber in color.

From your pictures. You got a ways to go.I think you should be OK.
Better teach your friend.

Welcome to Hawaii:blsmoke:

Last NL I ran was indoor in soil under a 600w. Took longer than normal to finish by the sounds of it at approx. 90 days from switch.

As the saying goes, they will be done when there done. Id say you have more than 4 weeks to go. So maybe a harvest when you get back?

Interesting side note I got married this time last year and just got mine pulled and hung and went on my honeymoon whilst they dried. Came back and trimmed and jarred.

Congrats on the marriage and enjoy the honeymoon.

Hey Reb, when you say your running Northern Lights by MCS, I assume you mean Ministry of Cannabis Seeds. Do you have the autoflower or photoperiod variety? The two have different flowering periods.

no wrong site. (can't upload real site)
montrealcannabis-seeds.ca
looks like their autos and photoperiods have the same flowering time. Your plants still have a ways to go. MCS lists there Northern Lights to have an 8 week flowering period. This means that they will be ready to harvest after 8 weeks starting from the first signs of flowering. Do you remember how long ago you started to notice the clusters of white hairs? Add 55 days to that date and that's your approximate harvest window. I usually let my strains go an extra week from the recommended.

If you want a quicker turnover then go for autos.
Do your research as autos can take as little as 70 days to complete(seed to bloom.
I avarage 90-100 days from seed to bloom.
I agree with the above, you have atleast 6 weeks to go.
Be patient and reap the reward.
