When will my blueberry turn blue?

I have 5 beautiful blueberry girls about a week from the chop but they are still as green as can be except for some slight nitrogen depletion (normal in the final stage of life). Please don't post an answer if you don't have first hand knowledge of when, how or why they turn blue. I really want to see some blue leaves on these babies; that was what turned me on to grow this strain in the beginning.

Yeah must be your first grow as blueberry doesnt turn "blue" some phenos have a very light bluelish hue to the buds sometimes but the blueberry is describing the taste of the bud when smoked if flushed properly.

Its a shame that all Blueberry sellers show the blue/purple color phenos in their pics.....Almost false advertising.

dang... yeah it's my first successful grow and my first attempt at growing blueberry. Oh well... it'll be great smoke; I have been using Advanced Nutes "Final Finish" for the last 10 days or so and started using "Sweet Leaf" when they were in veg. thanks guys.

The bluish purplish color in marijuana plants come from mostly only cold climates...You won't have as many calyxes in these plants but the leaves will still be frosted with resin.Actually there are some types of chemicals and nutrients you can buy that will turn the plant blue....I've seen it on some website before but it was pretty damn expensive. look it up.

F' that XTC. I'd be fad about buying nutrients that turn plants or buds a color but no way am I going to go looking for a needle in a goose egg at a goose factory. Maybe if you could lend me a metal detector?

You used sweet leaf in veg?? I thought it was for flowering

LOL. I love it when people have their eyes open!! If I get 20oz from my plants it will be worth it if the smoke is significantly better. It goes a long ways.

This year I grew 3 blueberry kush girls, and I live in Northern Ontario Canada, all three of my girls show no blue at all but are some of the most beautiful plants I have ever grown. And further more I am 40+ years old and I have been growing for many years and the only time I have seen bluish, purple plants have always been hybrids of purple kush strains...

Nice plant. And you're right. If someone wants some real color then they should grow Pakistani Chitral Kush which is a parent of many strains and accounts for much of the color in colored strains.

You do realize this is an eleven year old thread?

Yeah a lot of old posts come up when you do a search. I've done the same thing. I usually check the date of the last post. It's not that big of a deal and sometimes there's good stuff that has been forgotten buried in some of the older posts.

Very late in flower the fan leafs on some plants get very pretty with tints of purple along with the yellowing but the buds only get a tiny bit and once it's cut you can't notice.

Yes I agree as when the sun is high and you get angle the fan leaves do have a tint of blue. I also tried a gorilla glue #4 but she's like a stunted for some reason but she is budding and can just hope that the weather warms up, and also have a pink kush and she is pretty nice but just starting to bud but again just gotta hope for the best...

Put some food coloring in your feed water. It'll change the color of your bud. Not sure if its good for you or the plant. I did some experimenting and was able to make some red buds. I'll see if I can find a picture...

My Bering Sea Blues autos here in Alaska are turning blue as anything. They’re outdoors and beautiful.
