will marigolds repel deer?
People say it works but I had a plant eaten by something and I poured my urine around the peri mature. I would think coyote urine might work better.how well does human urine work, guy at work says he uses buckets then pours it around perimeters
Yea that would make you wanna go hunting out of season. Dam I hope that doesn't happen to me.Deer are difficult to keep away. I spray with a combo of milk, egg, garlic, hot pepper & neem oil. My most frequent problem is the stalk being chewed at the base. Last year a had one 5' tall with chicken wire 2 feet high around it..... gnawed at the base.
I've always been able to identify their sex at the 5th or 6th set of nodes. Depending on how healthy it grows you should be able to in a month. If you were going to start some plants inside and let them grow for a month when would you flip the lights to 12/12 to sex them. Would you do it after 2 weeks? Or wait till the last week? I know this isn't the best way to do it considing stress but if you had to do it that way how would you do it?
Messed up that reply Tri doesn't the concoction effect the taste of your weedDeer are difficult to keep away. I spray with a combo of milk, egg, garlic, hot pepper & neem oil. I think it was some kind of rodent (chipmunk or gofer) maybe.
I don't spray the buds so I haven't noticed any taste. Once the plants get really big the deer usually only due minor damage. I think I'm going to use a 5' tomato cage this year, & hang hot peppers around.Messed up that reply Tri doesn't the concoction effect the taste of your weed
I use a similar spray. Just garlic and pepper though. I know stuff like liquid fence has egg in it how exactly do you incorporate egg into the mix? My major problems are with chipmunks or some kind of rodents too.Deer are difficult to keep away. I spray with a combo of milk, egg, garlic, hot pepper & neem oil. I like the idea of a cage.I don't spray the buds so I haven't noticed any taste. Once the plants get really big the deer usually only due minor damage. I think I'm going to use a 5' tomato cage this year, & hang hot peppers around.
