Porche GT3 is king of the supercars...Nothing beats it.....not a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, Not a Mclaren or a Corvette, Not an Audi or an Astin Martin or a Bugatti.....Don't believe me check out Battle of the Supercars. The Porche put em all to shame...LOL....Now let the arguing begin

Ok, MAYBE a BRAND new STI at the most expensive place you can find will be 37k lol. But whatever ok, 13k. No need for a bigger turbo, the STI has a nice turbo already. Balance and Blueprint the engine. Get a chip to reprogram settings for increasing the boost of the turbo. Maybe add nitrous. Get yerself a Intake/intercooler and exhuast. Can do all that for less than 10k and that alone will put the car at about 350-375hp. Now, going with the correct price of an STI which you can get an older model with low miles for about 20-25k. add the 10k of work we already did. Leaves about 15-20k left of the 50 for more extensive work to the engine/tranny. Even still man. say you spend 80k or even 100k on the STI. That to me is better than buying a car that's built just for people to say "look at me and my money". Plus, Subaru's are way better looking to me anyways.

ok i get it...lets say you buy a used less powerfull Sti and put 25k into it...so lets say you get all the bolt on's, intake, exhaust, headers, cams, pulleys, short shifter, clutch, injectors, bigger turbo, chip, nitrous, and some internal work...port/polish the motor...thats about 25k considering the sti's come with descent parts so upgrading them are expensive. so after all this, the ferrari would still blow the doors off of it....then if you wanted to dump the 80-100k into it like you said you could do a lot more, but you would be rebuilding the motor every time it runs down the track...im really not trying to argue with you slojo...for real man, im not even a supercar fan, but i do respect them greatly....i'll just keep driving my 240


oh yeah...and getting a "chip to reprogram settings for increasing the boot of a turbo" Thats not a chip, thats called a boost controller
A chip is a computer that hooks up to your engine and lets you displace more power by basically turning a dial in some cases that changes the dynamics of the motor such as the air/fuel ratio

First of all, no need for headers since there's a turbo. No need for a port and polish. Turbo will be fine after an ECU upgrade and tuning. Not sure why you think the car will need to be rebuilt if yer spending 25k on building the engine. There will be no stock parts in that engine after 25k except for the block and will be built to withstand World War 3. The ferrari is pushing roughly 500-550 HP at about 9k RPMs. That is alot, I'm not going to lie.What I'm saying is, it can and HAS been beatin by a better looking car for less than half the price.

EDIT to your EDIT: You can get a boost controller yes, however, thats not needed to increase your subaru's turbo. There's turbos that can have the boost increased manually and electronic. Subarus are electronic and can be increased through the ECU.

Ferrari 458 Stock, 560hp at 9k RPM redlined, 0-60 3.4 secs, 7 speed trans, top speed of 202 MPH, 10.8 quarter mile. Price: 190-240k (Depending on models)

Stock vs Stock, STI gets pwnd around the board yes. but we weren't talking about that. To get the STI to those specs will not take much at ALL. 10.8 sec quarter mile? that can be done with wieght reduction and fine tuning the ECU for high air/fuel ratio and more boost.

I think my taste in cars is going to be a bit different then most of yours but, I am a car enthusiast through and through.

I have been welding/fabricating since I was 14, and am currently using these skills to pursue my Formula Drift career.

I have a 1989 toyota cressida sitting on 17x9.5 +24 cobra racing wheels, with a 1jzgte twin turbo inline six engine, run through a exedy single plate clutch r154, and a 4.1:1 welded differential. Sits at about 315hp at 15 lbs of boost, and I see that power at about 3400rpms. This summer will bring a new stand alone engine management system and a single turbo setup with a safe tune around 375rwhp, and a drift tune of about 450-500.

This summer will also bring a complete run through of the suspension, fully adjustable arms, all new heim joints, and SerialNine custom valved coilovers. I will be starting the body work and paint come late summer/fall, and by winter it will be complete with a SCCA/Formula D compliance.

It is the most valuable thing I own, and I have owned it through losing jobs, houses, girlfriends, and I will not get rid of it.

The V12's are crappy engines man. The V8 will out perform the V12 an day of the week.

The V-12's come in the fancier ferrari's so to speak. The maserati's and the Enzo's. But the performance is just shy of the Ferrari's V8 engine. We'll compare the Maserati due to it being the more famous of the Ferarri's, here ya go:

458's 4.5L V8 - 0-60 3.4secs. 202 Top MPH. 10.8 quarter mile (From above posting)

Maserati's 6.0 V12 - 0-60 3.8 secs, 205 top MPH, 11.3 quater mile

Not much difference for yer V12 there lol. I always remembered hearing bad things about the V12 engines too. I think they put a V12 in the viper, Might have been a V10 I don't remember. But their purpose is just like the Ferrari's, To say you have one and that's about it lol.
