That experience proves that people don't want to work, right? I would like for anyone to explain how people as a whole became lazy between the time unemployment of 5 percent and less and now. Those with cars and houses and families are not likely to be willing to "scrape by" on a few hundred dollars a week in welfare. I think it is sad that those with jobs have to find a group to feel superior to. "well you are lazy and I am not" when the irrefutable fact is that there are not enough jobs to go around.
Beyond that, althor, you are going to have to take a stance. Either there are no jobs (and it is Obama's fault) or there are. If there are jobs and people are simply too lazy to work, then how are you going to blame Obama for that?
Have I said there are no jobs to be found? I know I have said myself and a few other small business owners I know are not hiring because we are concerned about upcoming changes and what our responsibilities will be when they happen. I dont think I have said there are no jobs to be found.
Here as a very good example. My employee's girlfriend was laid off about 2 years ago. She immediately filed for whatever aid she could get, and for unemployment benefits. At no point during her unemployment did she even attempt to look for a job. When her last check arrived she said she was going to start looking. My employee receives a call at work, "hey good news, they extended my unemployment, now I dont have to look for a job". She did the same thing when the expiration was approaching the second time. Same thing happened.
And again the third time. When it finally did run out, I dont know exactly how long but it was very long, she went to Walmart and was hired immediately. Since then she has started another job that pays better. She had no problem finding a job when she actually bothered to look for one.
I have also said many times how in the past 2 years I have had at most 3 people walk onto a job and ask if I had work available.
I generally am the first to say, any man who wants to work can if he is willing to do whatever it takes.
No, I think the biggest problem we are encountering these days are the younger generations entitlement attitude and think they should be able to hang out and do whatever they want to do and someone else pay for it.
Also the reason I am so against any type of tax raises on anyone, rich or poor. The government already takes plenty enough of our taxes, they need to quit wasting the hell out of it.
Does that mean that the economy is good? Hell no, the economy is NOT good. We are spending 4 trillion a year, earning 2.5 trillion a year and over 14trillion in debt to countries we damned sure dont need to be in debt.
Things have to change and change fast for us to not eventually go off the cliff.
I also dont think we can change the course we are on, doesnt matter who is president. The only way we could fix the problems we have would be with a dictator who could do whatever he chose to do. I AM NOT ADVOCATING A DICTATOR. Our government is much too large and corrupt for any president to make any real changes that can save us from where we are heading.
I will go on record now, USA will go the way of the former Soviet Union within 20 years.
