Just as title says, Where can i find information on making an AeroPonics System in a single Rubbermaid? They all seem to be for cloners or multiple ones. Im trying to convert my DWC into an aeroponics.

All i basically need is
Air pump,
Air stone,
Powerhead to mix up solution,
Water Pump
PVC irragation sprinklers half way up connected to water pump or should i sprinkle them from the top down?

what i did was use a rubber made tub for the res and planter cut 6 holes in the top of 1 for 4 inch net pots then along side of the tub just under the handle i cut a hole for a 1/2 inch pvc ,from the top measure down 8inches and do the same on the other side then cap one end and place a reducer to a 5/8 for a hose (this slides over the end you glue it on and the other end has a ribbed male end so a 5/8 hose can slide onto that) to pvc connector{home depot)and you want 3 holes in the pvc pipe right between your pots so it sprays two at a time, you want alot of air stones in the res and i mean alot or you will have problems with root rot so think big long stones and get more than 1 pump give that water alot of do=dissolved oxygen, you will also need a water pump that has a filter or use some cheese cloth to wrap it with and when you set it up you need an enzyme or hydroguard to stop root rot the temp of the water, your goal should be 68 but mines ok at 76 i freeze a 2-liter bottle and leave it on the concrete floor to help so good, try aiming for 5.8 ph and dont over due the nutrients or you will loose soem of the "D.O." Good luck

Hey What's UP???,,,,,,,,I Make These For My Clone's, They Are Basicly A Bubbler With Aeroponic Technology, I Use A Dua-AirPump For Each Pod, They Have A 265gph Submersible Pump, & Each Have Around 10 Mister's.

Here Are You Some Pic's, Maybe This Will Help You Out???:blsmoke::mrgreen::peace:

Listen to HATCH he knows what hes talkin' about! I built my whole aeroponic system based of HATCH's. BTW I'm 3 weeks into flowering (T5 quad bulb) and I'm having great results with my aero system.

I use mine for the entire grow. I have a 20gal Rubbermaid with (6) 3" net pots and 6 spray heads running right down the center. The only difference (from others I've seen) is that my PVC spray header is 3/4" and it penetrates the side of the tub with a hose connection on the end which is capped. I use the nute pump to empty the tubs when it's time to change nutes by removing the cap and connecting a washing machine hose. You wanna see how well these things work? Check page 5 of my journal. I'll be harvesting in the next few days and I'll post more pics then.

Hatch, what size of Pump would you suggest for a 5 Gal Bucket? I only intend on having one pod.

Say Bro, Sorry I Just Found This,,,,,,,,,,If You Are Just Going To Have One Pod.....You Can Get A 258gph, I Like More, So A 295gph Will Run Ten Mister's With A Great Mist.,,,,,,,,,,Best Of Luck!!!!!,,,,,,,,If I Can Help You Out Anyway Just Holler!!!!:blsmoke::peace:

would this method be viable with an ultrasonic fogger? i want to do a entire grow with only a fogger but i hear it wont work...(roots clog fogger)

To do a aeroponic system correctly, there should actually be two chambers. Usually these chambers are stacked on top of each other, with the plants sitting on the face of the top chamber. The mist sprayers (or foggers) spray into this top chamber onto the roots. The water from this chamber then drains into the bottom chamber through a screen or filter. This keeps all the roots isolated in the top chamber. The pump sits in the bottom chamber, in the reservoir and pumps the water upwards into a tube which leads into the PVC header with the sprayers in the top chamber. This is the best type of system, because it keeps the roots isolated from the stagnant oxygen deprived water of the reservoir. Because of the high oxygen content the roots are always being exposed to, very little contamination issues arise. This type of aero system can be easily constructed from two rubbermaid containers, but the top chamber really doesn't need to be as thick as the bottom reservoir chamber.

Here is an illustration of what he is talking about.
