Where did all the guano go?

I have been a user of the Sunleaves line of guano for years as part of my compost teas. Specifically their Jamaican bat guano and Peruvian seabird guano. I am aware the Sunleaves company was acquired in some sort of private equity deal last year and liquidated. Earlier this year I was able to find a box of Peruvian seabird guano on ebay but now I can't find anything. I'm aware Down to Earth has a line of seabird guano but it doesn't have the nitrogen content of the Peruvian and my local hydro store has a line of Mexican and Indonesian bat guano but they recently told me they can longer these either. Does anyone know if these products will ever be on the market again? Has the guano trade been banned? Is anyone else out there having these issues and what are you doing to replace these products?

No Idea. I'm a fairly new grower and I've been researching about guano and compost teas with guano and I can't find any guano in any grow store in my area. The only high P organic nutrients I can find up here in my area of Canada are Gaia Green fishbone meal or their mineralized phosphate.

I had problems finding the 50lbs bags but was able to get a fair price on a bunch of smaller ones at the local grow shop. Using DTE bat guano and Aurora Innovations seabird guano. I found the Aurora innovations brand to be a bit softer and more finely ground up, seems to be easier to use in the teas.

Since I posted this I found a company online called 'Plan "B" Organics that ships out of Castle Rock, WA that has a seabird guano with 13-11-2 ratio. I don't know anything about them other than their web page but I found out a 50 lb bag costs as much to ship as the bag. They also carry other guanos and organic products. I doubt I'll get much feedback from other users since this thread hasn't gained much traction but I will probably pull the trigger and see what happens.

I don't have any info on the guano supply chain, but I would like to know what's going on. Did the corona situation somehow freeze the guano trade?

That is strange about the high N sea bird guano disappearing. After seeing your post I searched around and it seemed like only old, big bags that nobody bought yet were available.

For N I've been using neem and/or alfalfa in the soil mix, top dressed or in tea.

For P I've used fish bone meal in the mix, or fish hydrolysate for teas or crab shell for top dress.

I'm trying the Roots Organics seabird guano for the first time myself. Both powder and pellet form (pellets to delay release for later). No problem ordering them online, came quickly...
