Where do i find??!?!? helppp!

okay i live near a cow farm, bout to go pick the shrooms growing out of the shit.
take pics and put em on here.
anything in looking for specificly??
im at a friends house now in northern florida..
but if i cant find shrooms....


is their anything around the house that i can trip off of??

Dude! Just take a sPore print.. i always see people on here asking what mushrooms too pick.. its so fuckin simple
EVERYBODY! TAKE A CAP OFF THE SHROOMS, PLACE IT GILLS DOWN ON A PIECE OF FOIL OR WHITE PAPER, IF IT LEAVES A PURPLE PRINT ITS GOT PSYILICYBE CUBENSIS, AND ANY OTHER COLOR IS POISONOUS. EVERY Psyilicibe SHROOM STEM TURNS LIGHT BLUE WHEN ITS BENT OR SQUEEZED.

HAAHAH good luck. how do you know that its not treated? you cant just go shroomin in any field lol

Not sure what you mean, Their are different types of Strains of Shrooms.
But No matter what strain of Psilocybe cubensis, the spore print WILL turn purple, Any other color, dont eat, Purple is what you look for in a print.

Or Bluing on the Stems. no other shrooms have that, only hallucingenic.

You get Spores from the shrooms by taking spore prints..

once the print is down on paper or foil. let it dry out then scrape the print into some distilled (spring water) water. then get a syringe and fill itup and you got your self a spore syringe.

So there is no rolling the cap on a piece of paper, just sit it down and leave the room for an hour. so simple

If your in Northern Florida then I promise you should have no problem finding shrooms.

And don't be afraid to pick the wrong ones, yes some poisonous species do bruise blue... but none of them grow anywhere remotely around here.

Just wanted to give a little info. since people on this forum are ill-informed about mushrooms.

First, NO, not all mushrooms bruise blue. Althought the majority of them do, don't go telling people that all of them do, because what happens if this member dies from eating a toxic mushroom?

Secondly, if your going to try to get spores from a mushroom picked from a field, a few things must happen. Sterility is the first thing to worry about. Take an index card, heat an oven to about 300 degrees F. Let the card sit in there for about 5 minutes, keep a close eye on the card to make sure nothing happens(fire). Take the card out and put a CLEAN, i repeat Clean bowl over the card and allow the card to cool to room temperature. Take your cap from the mushroom, and place it inder the bowl, gills down, on the index card. Wait about a day to get a clear, thick, well preserved print. When thats done, if your ready to make a syringe then read up on it. If your going to store it, fold the card in half, seal the edges with tape, and keep away from moisture.

I seriously siggest visiting shroomery.org. It is the most informative, interactive site on mushrooms and mycology.

No problem man, I lurk more than anything lol.

Your 1/2 pint jars will owrk. If done with the right substrate,(growing "soil" if you want to call it that) I can normally get around 5-6 flushes from some regulr Cubensis. The flushes depend a great amount on the strain. I would start out with some Golden Cubensis, very tolerant mushrooms, with a high yield and a very decent potency, plus they look amazing when you have them in your container with about 100 little mushrooms fruiting everywhere.

EDIT: The jars can be bigger, just make sure they are tapered out or at the very least completely straight, because you can play hell trying to get out a cake and it not fit throught the top of the jar lol.

lol im a totall noob at growing shrooms. ive been reading up for about 3 days straight now, lol.
what are flushes? like a harvest but u do it many times for 1 cake..?
thats what im gettting from a site i think its like spores101.com or something like that.

Yes, flushes are like what harvests are to weed except you get multiple flushes out of one substrate cake, pretty nifty huh?

I'm telling you, register with shroomery.org, the best mycology website out there, I'm a member and it has served useful in all questions and concerns i had with mushrooms.

how long will one substrate cake keep producing shrooms???

Expect your first few cakes to get aorund 3-4 flushes, so you will be looking at around a month to a month and a week of one cake producing mushrooms. NOw keep in mind that when you do this, you produce more than 1 cake. I usually make a dozen at a time, plenty of shrooms to last a while.

hmmm, im liking this idea more and more. lol.
im going to be selling a couple of these to friends, how much a gram? i heard around $10-$15

when i put the syringe in the substrate, how much do i put in each hole?
