where is a node on the plant

I am very nub and i was reading athread on topping and it said cut at the 4th true node,i hear alot about nodes and internodes please explain,pics might help thanks

search up "uncle bens topping for 2 or 4 colas" that is the correct way to top. you dont wanna do the 4th node. what you do is let your plant grow to 5 or 6 nodes. than if u want 2 colas cut abov the first TRUE node, if you want 4 colas cut above the second node. reason you let it grow to 5 or 6 nodes is so the plant gets a big root system and it can recover more quickly. the first node is usually the one with the first set of true leaves. usually the one with the 3 leaf shape.

So the node is where the branch comes out of the stem,from what I see,I also googled it for regular plant anatomy and that is what I gather,thank you too all

yes thats it. check out uncle bens topping for 2 or 4 colas. if u cant find it goole it. trust me its awesome
