Where is al b. Fuct????????

Nice:mrgreen:----If I can get enough cash next year-I'm going to have solar put on the roof---With the state rebate you can put a nice unit in for about 10,000.00----only takes 5-7years to re-cover the cost--It would generate about half of my use in the summer and would send power to the grid in the winter--Then you just set-up a balanced monthly payment with the power company and your set...

Before you pony up for a roof full of PV, do the maths on solar water heat. Much more bang for the buck in saving dough.

he has followed hasn't he, doesn't want soaked cubes or tennis elbow. Uhh,... I just borrowed one from the wife. lmfoa VV

heh, I LURVE my salad spinner... but I have broken the gear on the hand crank on mine. No matter, I ran a brass bolt and nut through the drive spindle and now spin my spinner with a cordless electric drill.

Roger dat---will look into it---water heater is gas---runs 30 in summer and 95 in the winter----my power bill is 200 winter-----600 in summer.

Yep, my water heat is electric. I do have off-peak power service (5c/kWH) for that but it still was a significant expense, about $300 per quarter, much more than you're paying on gas. Almost totally replaced the electric tank with my solar water heat system. Offset quite a lot of the grow op's power use cost. My bill is now only slightly more than it would be without the op thanks to Old Sol.
