Where to get canning jars for cheap?

thrift stores, they sometimes have really cool ones youll never find at a store either for a couple bucks too.

nah not lookin for anything that fancy. I'd actually prefer it not to be glass, but seems like the plastic cookie jars are really expensive.
nah, cus I can get 1 quart canning jars for 1 dollar each at the grocery store, but I'm looking for some slightly larger jars.
I'll give bed bath a try..

I heard something about THC reacting with plastic containers? This true or total BS?

Well I know you said 16oz was too small, but I use 4oz Ball jelly jars. These are pressurized jars with a 'pop' lid and I use them for my immediate stashes. I use larger Ball jars (with wire top snap retainers) for long-term storage, but they are not pressurized like the little ones and I'm not too wild about that part.
ACE Hardware has em', 12 to a box for about $7. I like them because they safely store plenty and they keep my stashes fresh. I simply grab a jar as needed while the others remain sealed and ready to go.
Put a little bow on them and they make GREAT gifts too for your (duly authorized) friends!

Again, Bed, Bath, And Beyond has stuff like that in the kitchen section. They don't make canning jars that big, but they do make glass containers to hold rice and flour and stuff like that. I saw one for entire boxes of cereal, that would probably hold 5oz. They would be more expensive than canning jars, but if you got 5# you can afford it

that jar looks good.. i'll try and find it. prefer to burp one big jar than a bunch of tiny ones.

At my local wal-mart they have 2 gallon jars. They are huge. But they cost like 10 a piece.
I picked up a 12 pack of wide mouth Ball quart jars for 10.

A 5 gallon pail with a nice tight sealing lid will hold somewhere around 3 pounds. In the big amounts it gets harder to keep it in glass, but you can get food-grade pails if you're worried about it.

look in the second hand stores. i found a set that was meant for coffee, tea, surgar, and flower. i used the one i wanted and gave the others to friends. i've always heard that if you store your weed in plastic containers it will give your smoke a funny taste and smell. after i dried and cured some urban posion, it got vacum packed in a plastic bag and was put away for a rainy day. well the rainy day came last month and after sitting for over a year it tasted just as good as the day i packed it, if not better. so i would call b.s. about storing in plastic.

eh.. Bed Bath sucks.. 1 gallon size jars but they're $20 each.. fuck that.. I wonder who shops there anyway everything is ridiculously expensive.
Anyway, still on the hunt.. I'm guessing those 16oz jars only hold 1-2 oz from what I've seen. I just want something slightly bigger or twice the size of that.
