can i look at the trichomes on a small leaf next to the bud to determine if my plants ready for harvest

look at the trichs on the buds.. the leaves are not the best indicator. that is what i have read though... i guess it is because you will smoke more buds than leaves.. that is why the bud trichs are what you need to check out

i have a microscope thats great for looking at color of the trics...the problem is i have to take a cut and place the cut under the microscope...thats why i hate to take a bud...

Why would you look at the trichs on a leaf? What good would that do you? It is the Buds that need to be ripe. If you do not have a scope just go by the hairs. But do remember the trichs on a leaf will in fact ripen up faster than a buds.
