Where to put mother room Small house!

I just got two Sun Blaze® T5 44 inch 8 light rigs.

I dont have any room but behind me in my computer room for my mother plants.

So im noob but the timer will go on and say hours of night example
Off at early am 2 to 6am and on the rest of the time?

If im in the room will the light cause eye damage?

It would be in the garage but its COLD out there right now.
REALLY COLD so I have to live with plants!

well what do you define as "eye damage"

under prolonged exposure u will reduce your light sensitivity, reducing your ability to see in low light conditions.
depending on the spectrum and related uv output you could be increasing your chances of cataracts.
generally w phlorescents its not an issue, but u cant be too carefull.

u need to build em a box or something, repurpose an entertainment center, or an old freezer.

but whatever u do, get some really THICK curtains, not much is more suspicious than a window that looks like a portal to the sun.

You could be a good candidate for a customized diy system. They sell all the components to make your own tents or room partitions. Since your place is small, a more custom system might be a more ideal solution for you, although it will often times lead to be a more expensive option depending on your due diligence in planning and designing and shipping for parts etc.
