music never dies... it just evolves, and re-evolves... the reach of 'good' music these days is just lacking is all.... and therefore so is the demand.... hence nothing as successful as woodstock
i agree verde.. music does evolve.. a lot of brit pop music all evolved from the 60's and just evolved out of lsd and the like into the big e movement in the late 8os and early 90s.. i think all good music comes from the same experiences , just too many people are willing to accept watered down american idol bs that there's not much audience for talented artists who are pushing the envelope .,..

See in the Quick Reply box @ the bottom of the screen. Where you type your posts.
There's a little icon that looks like a strip of old school film.

edit:
It's the same symbol if you go into the Advanced reply.

i just turned 11. my dad was a design engineer on the apollo space mission so we were moving all the time from houston to huntsville alabama to florida then back to boston after it was all over. one of my cousins was killed over in viet nam that year and his brother came home from there with a wife and 2 kids, most of the family went ape shit along with everyone else in town because lonny brought home a gook wife. my brother got his draft papers in the mail but it worked on a lottery and he was never called. so many things were happening in my life back then. it doesn't seem real when i think about it sometimes.

Though I wasn't around yet, I love this song and MANY MANY from that era. Sorry if someone did this one already.

my brother and i would go door to door offering to take out trash or any other kind of work for empty coke bottles, when we got 5 bucks worth that was enough for a couple packs of cigs a 6 pack of beer and a few gallons of gas for the rambler.

I was working at a gas station selling gas at $.16 a gal.
