While I wait, I decided to stop by riu. I forget what amazed me so much...but I got to thinking about how different our generation is from people alive a hundred years ago.
I bet people in 1911 didn't imagine humanity would one day be spending their abundant free time writing in a journal that talks back to them, receiving minute by minute news feeds from people they aren't familiar with, and sharing their every thought with complete strangers.
Where will we be in 100 years?
My answer:
1. Everyone will have a life simulator so they can sit and pretend to be someplace else.
2. Aliens will have revealed themselves as humanoids living in disguise on Earth for the past 3000 years.
3. Conan will have taken over the world.
4. People will still be smoking weed.

I cant see flying cars being available to the general public.

judging by how technology seems to develop faster and faster.
its quite possible that in 100 years we will be living in a "star trek" universe.
and judging by how age has been extending further and further in the last centuries along with medical discoveries, (and the technical advances making for less wear and tear on the body)
its quite possible that in 100 years, many of us will still be around to see it.
it wont be a perfect society, but judging by how "enlightenment" has been spreading and people´s minds and hearts evolving, it should be pretty allright.
people seem to be moving away from materialism, so future visions such as bladerunner or aliens seems more and more unlikely.
(the future is in motion lol)
