im currently running some roc Bud Auto freebies and some grape dosi breath that's supposedly testing in 30% range. very nice stuff so far

I think as time goes on autos are generally getting stronger, and such things as transplanting ,lst ,topping, de foliating, they can now handle,where is years ago some of them didn't like it

guys, when is ideal time to top the autos? 2 weeks ? after 4 nodes? im in 2 weeks now and my fourth pair of leaves is coming out. should I top now or wait another week to get them stronger?

Never. You can top auto's with no ill effect (Ive done it many times) but, you're not going to get more total weight, you get more, smaller buds. They're still on that limited timeline.
My experience has been better with LST or simply super cropping to keep canopy in check.
That said, best time to top an auto is a couple days before pre-flower stretch (instead of stretching, they throw branches like crazy). It's better if you've grown the strain before so you time it right. You end up with a smallish bush with a ton of quarter size buds. Pain in the balls to trim too.
Oh, on topic, I'm growing some Twisted Tree Lemon OG auto's to double check if they're as mediocre as I think they are. Unfortunate, as their Twisted Cookies is right up there with some of the best auto's I've grown. Must be why the Cookies always sells out fast.

Too funny. 3 friends were within 0.2 of that number last run.
Running a White Widow from Seedsman to if the product is defective or operator error is occurring. Too many gripes over them forced me to run one. Amended soil and tap water till 3 days ago. Only in sun for 5 days. And top cola and one node and shade leaf mauled by the cat. With a few test bites below. Operator error as shown so far. I hate autos. Fortunately I love plants. Flowering for a week now. Week 6.

Totally unlikely that is a very happy healthy plant
If you didn't top it it would be a lot taller now with a main cola burning, and you turning the light down depleting some of the light the lower branches should have received,now the side branches are stronger and will also yield I think you have done a terrific job

Bruce Banner autos. House fems from seedsupreme. Day 42. 30% plus thc and decent yield. Was going for quantity and potency all in one strain. they are 42 days into a 12 week (as advertised) strain. I believe they are doing well for the age? Not any BB auto grows going to compare to.
