Which CFL?

hey guys, had a good look on the forum and can't find an answer to this..

can only afford 1 light for my grow, at the min i'm using 5 small 20w CFLs to germinate my seed, 2/3 are already coming through so it's time for a big CFL.

as i can't afford 2 different lights for vegging and flowering i'm really not sure what to go for, colour, rating etc.

all i've found on the internet so far are peopel saying you CAN just use one CFL from start to finnish but not saying which type.

any input would be great to help me on my way with my first grow :joint:

hoping to order it tonight since my seeds are sprouting, thanks again guys!

that cfl will work for vegg because it is the 6400k spectrum. once flowering starts your going to want to get a different cfl at 2700k
my first grow i used the 2700k spectrum all the way through because i didnt know the difference. it will grow a little slower in the vegg stage but should still turn out alright.

You could just use that bulb along with some small warm white cfl's at a 2/1 mix and when flowering time comes add aload more warm cfl's at a 2/1 mix, keep the blue above them with a reflector and position the small ones around the bud sites.

Check out my grow and see what I mean, though mine ain't at any specific mix but it would be better

tescos are selling the 23watters 5 for a £1, and in wilko today i saw the bulb holders 39p each

just buy smaller ones it will be alot cheaper and more light. i dont know about the uk but if you just buy smaller ones you can afford to get the right ones for veg and flowering

ah excellent, just the advice i needed, so that bulb in my link will veg them fine, come flowering time i can use that AND some warm CFLs like the one's mentioned from tesco :weed:

great, i'll get that one in the link ordered now :D
