This is a fun post. It's good to see so many good-hearted members pitching in...
One thing. Make sure the tube fits in your tent and allow room for 90 degree elbows. When you are in a 3x3 things get tight. Also make sure to get a 6" fan so you don't need reducers etc...
I have the can fan-lite filter... It's just ok.. I like the Phresh much better..
2-4 ounces per plant is a little aggressive.. more like 2 ounces per plant if it's decent genetics and all goes well. In a 3x3 and 400-600w you can do 4 plants in 3 gallon pots vegged and trained for 8 weeks and pull 8 ounces without too much effort.
If you go with the 600w light then might as well get the 4x4 tent so you have room to work. And yea, get the 600w and dim it down for veg etc.. 400w lights are kind of a waste. 600 is most efficient.
