Lets assume for argument sake that they make all these bulb wattage's. Is it better to use fewer bigger bulbs or more lower wattage bulbs?

Get as many (large ones) as you possibly can and put them everywhere above the canopies! CFLs are good but they're not great. Just my 2 cents :leaf:

Take a look at my grow and you will get an idea. Different flowering room tho just for seedlings and clones
hmm, good question. I dont know much about electricity but assuming the power consumption is the same, the advantage to using more, smaller bulbs would be better light distribution i think.:eyesmoke:

i agree. i use 6x26w bulbs and 1 65w cfl. I will be adding a 150w hps. If temps get too hot i'll take out the hps then i will get 6 more cfls and hope for the best

You're better off with the smaller bulbs and lots of them. Keep in mind the CFL still puts out some heat, especially the big 68W. You can go with an assortment of big and small with a higher ratio of small to big. You can get the smaller bulbs in the tight spaces and closer to the leaves.
