If i were you i would get a 400w hps. or if uwant to go super cheap u couldget cfls. like six of each daylight and sof white bulbs. which would all equal up to probably the same price as a 400w hps with ballast.

its just a small box room, im just experimenting really just wanna see if i can do it so dont really wanna let them get big, just need a little help gettin started.

cfl's work well small, and they're a cheap way to start
the bigger you get, the more expensive it gets to cover plants in cfl's

Go to santee hydro and kyle the owner will help u get a 400 w bulb a reflector the ballast ask for value line 400 watt switchable and it is about $275 out the door and u save $$$ on electric bill,and if u are going to flower than do it with mh,flower with hps.good luck.
