which method for maxium yeild?

With my set up I can harvest either 6 autos or 2 regular plants a month. I have 2 grow areas, in doors, in soil, under 400mh/hps. But I have to keep the actual plant growth to 30 inches. Which method would yeild more?

Clones,and depends on the strain.

Don't clones take a couple weeks to root? I think from seed would be faster. I want to run on a 4week veg Max.

CLONES OF GOOD FEMALE PLANT!!!! Clones will get you a plant in half the time over seed, and your guaranteed to have bud, vs the chance of getting male seed.

I guess I could just take clones off the plants going into flower and refill the veg. cab with clones instead of newly sprouted seeds, right? I like the idea of not needing seeds, but cloning looks like a pain in the ass. I hear alot of people having issues keeping them alive. I also dont have a seperate place to raise clones, it would have to be in the back of my veg. cab, while other plants are vegging. I will have to do some searching on cloning setups i guess.
Running auto's is starting to sound better and better.

Auto's are not as potent. obviously because they don't have the time that other indica/sativa varieties do to max out resin production.

Cloning is not that hard at all! You just have to know how to do it correctly and have the right stiff. I use those jiffy pellets, ($6 WITH a humidity dome for 10 cuttings) and Rootone rooting hormone(Also about $6); the 1st batch of clones all 1 out of 3 rooted in 2 weeks, in my veg room, under the canopy of the mother plant. IMO you should forget about the autos, grow a couple large plants and LST them! Take cuttings just before putting them in flower and let the cuttings root and veg while the mom's flower. Then when you harvest do the exact same thing. Move the vegging plants into flower after you take a few cuttings and let the cycle start over again. That way you are always harvesting, having girls in flower, and girls in veg... You will never run out of smoke! lol, And the best part, if they're all clones you have NO chance of getting a male plant! That's what I'm doing anyways and all my plants are under a foot and a half tall. I'm never spending money on my medicine again! lol
