Hello fellow organic growers...

I was hoping somebody can help me chose between the following brands, which are available in my area:

Advance Nutrients
Bio Bizz (only Bloom available)
Canna
Plagron
GHE Bio Sevia

I dont know if the right fertilizer can improve taste, but thats what i am aiming for, as my last grow smells like hay (dried properly and cured according to Simon's tutorial). I used Plagron Grow and Bloom only.

Thanks!!!

I am not familiar with the method you refer to for curing, nor have I used any of the nutrients you listed. If you're doing soil organics try to get a bottled nutrient with an organic matter content.

Are you curing in glass? Buds trimmed properly?

After trimming, what I'll usually do is simply lay the colas in little cardboard boxes or plastic tupperware containers lined with newspaper (uncovered), or within boxes stacked inside of a larger tupperware container with some damp-rid (when it is humid) and a light breeze from a small fan. After a few days the buds have lightened, surfaces feel dry but the stems remain bendable. Then take them and cut\refine into nugs, placed in clean glass mason jars. For the first 12-24 hours or so there will be no lid on the jars, instead a brown paper bag placed over them. Then seal and check and allow to breath periodically. I've never had a problem doing this, always retained or developed a nice aroma.

I am like a shriveled up Mother Theresa asking that you consider humble soil and compost. It's better and cheaper. Peace

I'd say the top 3 I'd recommend are BioCanna, General Organics, or Botanicare Pure Blend Soil. The first two are completely Veganic, the Botanicare is just organic, but it has worked well for me.

I personally did not like the BioCanna as a stand alone. I have used it well in conjunction with Botanicare and Budswel, but I'm not really impressed with it by itself.

Out of your list provided, I would say Canna is my personal favorite. I have used it and had great success in the past. It is not organic though. But it is probably the purest not Organic nutrient line out there. I never had any problems with salts.

Blue Mountain Organics. Great results and cheap, avail on ebay. There's plenty of info on here about it.

The biobizz bio bloom is awesome but it only really works in conjunction with the bio grow. I would agree that bio canna is probs your best bet.

My vote is for the General Organics GO Box and its ingredients. Its a nice product line that is not overpriced, and a great customizable organic food source for your plants. they look and smell lovely. also get some actively aerated compost tea up in your grow... great shit. look for Heisenberg's recipe on here for a point in the right direction. let me know if you have any questions. hope this helps

cheers

You MIGHT wanna take a look at the Espoma Line. (I gotta sound like a rep by now) They are pretty much readily available in almost any local market (No need for online purchases), and the prices can't be beat. They have several pre-packaged organic nutrient compositions with different NPK values, I have used the BioTone Plus and the BulbTone with great success. You can get cottonseed, bone, and blood meals, Kelp, and many other organic solutions.

NO id do NOT work for them, just a believer in the products!!!
