^thanks

I would like to grow in a coco coir perlite mix this is my first grow and I heard it's the easiest way to start with.
5 gal pots? What would be the average yield per m² for 4 plants in 5 gal pots under a 600w lamp with big bud as seed?

thanks for the help

scrog them and you should be fine in that space. I generally only go 2 in 3x3 but I don't have the light power you do. I use 3 gal smart pots and am looking at 4 foot plus tall.

plants grow into a net and you make your plants as wide/flat as possible to take the most amount of light in giving large yields

IMG_0236.jpgIMG_0302.jpg39631_001p.jpg3x3x6 foot gl tent with 5 gallon buckets (always airate those badboys with lots o holes!) and smart pots that are made with fabric are killer for these tents imho. This particular tent has a 600 hps kooltube with a couple t-5 friends hanging out for shits and giggles! This pic will help you with a pic in your mind of your tents potential!

high man and welcome to the hobby, it's always good to see new people come to the party.

anyway, i'd strongly recommend you research 'hempy' and 'KISS' because when first starting out simple and easy is a good thing and growing in coco hempy-buckets and feeding KISS style is about as easy and forgiving as it gets.

anyway, here are a few links to get you started and don't be intimidated by how long they are, if you want to succeed you have to be willing to do the homework and i promise, if you actually read through these threads, you WILL succeed, beyond your wildest dreams.

...this first is to a general thread on hempy growing and while it uses a perlite/vermiculite mix most of the information is still applicable and it explains this simple and ancient technology in an easy to understand way, ...if and when you decide that this is something you'd like to try i can help and i can link you to other coco specific threads.

The Official Hempy Bucket Thread

...this one is to the KISS thread, maybe the simplest feeding regimen around, and cheap too, lol.

*The K.I.S.S. Method*

...and this one is to the inhouse hempy thread so you can meet some of the folks here at RIU that are growing with this elegantly simple tech.

I'd run them in 5gl pots. I've done it under a 600 and averaged 4 zips per plant. I also trimmed a third off the bottoms. Helping produce larger top colas.
