Which USB or other Microscope for Trichome Inspection

Hello-

I realize this has been asked before, but perhaps there is new info.

I am using the Carson handheld 69-100x and it is just about impossible to focus and see at the same time.

Looking for a unit that is handheld and can be easily used when looking at the plant. Again, the Carson is tough to use on the plant the image moves and focusing is tough.

I looked at USB microscopes on Amazon but have no clue which is best for our purpose.

I have a 150x USB microscope, and I find it's best to snip off a sample to view....also great for taking pic's of trichromes

I prefer using a loupe, as it's quick and easy

thanks for the responses, a couple of followup questions:

(1) what power loupe do you use and do you see the trix clearly?

(2) how easy is the pen to use, any tricks to see the trix? Easy focus?

I have a dual 20x/40x loupe c/w a LED

the 20x is great for a quick peak, then use the 40x to get a close-up view

No idea on the pen

the cheapy loupes are horribly innaccurate ...you have to look at the specimen in 3 different shades of light to get a good idea of tric color...can easily be fooled if you are in the wrong light.
The pen focuses at the top with a twist. The DL program has video, pics to save etc. Its worth the 28$ all day. Ive gone threw all the cheapies, they are frustrating and its like throwing money away...not much money but still a waste of time
