I was thinking of trying some auto outdoor this summer here in Oregon due to the wet fall they would be over before the nasty weatherAutos will do better inside because you can provide them 24 light the whole way through.
You can also veg a photo for months and months on 24/0 indoors then flip it and have a monster.
Happy New Year.
I have seen some monster trees outside though. Photos that is.
I agree 100% with highlowgrow, you will most likely see better yeilds indoors. Autos need as much light as possible and it's easier to control an environment to give them optimal conditions, most of the grows of autos I see outside are small single cola plants, but there are couple people who can get them to thrive, just throw one or two outside this year and do a couple inside at the same time same strain and see for your selfalright if everything else is the same,, same containers, same soil, same nutes,, only differance is indoor with indoor top of the line lighting, Verses outdoors under the sun July and August
you can veg regular plants inside in the early spring and create a hoop house or something to create light deprivation, for an early summer harvest.I was thinking of trying some auto outdoor this summer here in Oregon due to the wet fall they would be over before the nasty weather
I agree the sun is the best light for your plants but can you make the sun shine for 18+ hours a day for 3 months? Autos can't get enough light they love it. If I could grow outside I'd give it a shot cause to me autos outside are way more of challenge, it can be done don't get me wrong I personally have only seen a couple of good outdoor auto growsI would think outside in a perfect full sun location the auto would outgrow indoor
Just because its the sun
The sun is also free
Growing autos outdoors would be a neat trick to keep our plants out of the rippers hands, as they only go hunting for plants end of season. Yours would already be in the jars!

I totally dig your kiss auto threadI stick with indoor. 600 stays on 24/0. Autos in autos out all year. Works really well for me. Rain or shine no worries at all.
That's radical , still great growing weather in Oregon that time of yearI ve had good luck outdoors with autos the past two year. I like to put them out mid may pick them around the end of July first of august....
