So I’m growing a CBD Plus from Dinamed for a friend. First time with CBD and also first time with my new LED light set up. This plant had issues from the get go. Fe deficiency from the seed which it grew out of. Then at initial Bud formation it looked kind of odd (see pic CBD Plus 16 Days after switch). In the last week or two the tips of the buds started turning white. I thought it was burn or bleaching but the leaves look good. Today I took a closer look. All the close up pictures are of the Bud tips of the CBD Plus. Holy trichome!! So of course a searched google and found this article from California Lightworks

https://news.californialightworks.com/how_are_white_tips_formed_on_cannabis_buds/

Regardless of the title and their better pic they don’t say how this happens.

The only thing I can think of is that I was pushing the blue and UVA channel pretty hard during early Bud formation. It kept the stretch way down on all the plants and seemed to push trichome production on the Girl Scout cookies pretty early.

Yes led light bleaching. Interesting that you can bleach the buds without damaging any foliage. I think it is caused by high amounts of blue and UVA. This is my first run with this new light set up. I backed off on the blue channel. The light is 22” over that plant. The California Lightworks article implied it was a desirable thing.
