white cobb webb looking substance

Just got back from my care giver
When i was breaking up one of the buds i noticed that inside the bud was a white look like cob web to me
It's threw most of the bud as i break it up
The other bud doesn't have that it has white dots on it
My care giver says there's nothing to worry about
But i am concerned Is this safe to smoke as I've already smoked some
Here's a pic of the 2 buds
the 1st is the cob web bud the 2nd is the white dot bud

Cob webs in bufs is usually from mites the dots look like mold but cant clearly see. I would definately bring it back to caregiver and not smoke. Pretty id find a new source if my caregiver gave me web weed!

thevaliantkid I'm sorry to see you got scammed into buying bunk weed. I can assure you that is not normal and there is no safe explanation to have webs/dots on your buds. It is most likely spider mites, their webs and their eggs. That alone is horrible the weed isn't worth money for sure and it is likely packed with nasty carcinogens. But what's worse is when people get spider mites in flower they try to solve it with Hydrogen Peroxide which causes mold or chemicals which bind up into the resins. But as ranchos429 pointed out it could be either spider mites or mold.

thevaliantkid why not grow your own medicines? Use an old dresser or even just an old computer case. Do a search for "micro grow" and dream about supplying your own meds. Ah but smell comes to mind huh? Do a search for DIY carbon activated filter. Even if you can't grow it sure is fun to play with marijuana plants.

the care giver wont take it back says it's fine he's smoking it and no one else has complained
so i've tossed the budd that had the webbs in it it was like on the stem all the way up the colla
my q is this i've already smoked this shit before i noticed ,like 2 joints and and 2 bowls do i now have to worry about medical issues as i have enough of them already wich is why i am on the program in he first place
this sucks as that was my meds for the rest of the month
i am on a fixed income and can't grow where i live
as for the 2nd bud it didn't have any webb at all in it and was a totaly different coler than the 1st 1 but had like white crystals on it or white dots
so don't smoke that either
that was the best pics i could get with my sons phone
i'll try to take another pic with his camera later today
so either way mold or mites don't smoke it
this realy sucks

if the weed was any good he would have taken it back and passed it on to someone else
the chances are its been sprayed with something cheap for ornamental plants, pesticides for edible crops are usually more expensive
bet you never saw him smoke any

if he was an actual "caregiver" he would have replaced your medicine, but foremost he would not have distributed tainted medicine to his patients! you need to find a new caregiver ASAP.

welcome to RIU. while you might not think you have a spot to grow your own, you actually don't need that big of an area to grow it. check out your possibilities!

first off thanks again for the fast replies greatly appreciated
he is a licensed care giver in my state
i've been using him for a little over a year and never had a problem of any kind till now
yes i seen him smoke it we tried it with him before i purchased it
he lets you sample it before you buy it
in my state all care givers and compation centers state all sales are final
but that's not my issue yes i wish he would of taken it back but he wont
so my loss and i will go to a meeting this week and look for another care giver just sucks as this state charges me when i change or add a care giver and this month i'm tapped out
but i tossed the bud with the cob webbs as you suggested
here's the best pics i can get of the other bud my son says looks like white crystals not dots but i am not sure and wont smoke it till i check with you guys again and if you say to toss it down the toilet it will go

no there's no ammonia smell or funky smell or funky taste
what little i had smoked before i noticed the cob webs in there tasted pretty good and defiantly did the job for my pain and anxiety
but after what i have heard from you guys i trashed the bud with the cob webs
this other bud i hated to break it up but had to to see if it had the same thing which it didn't
didn't see any cob webs in it or anything like that
but can't tell if it's white crystals or dots on the bud my sons says looks more crytal like than dot like
what's your opinion on the last pics i posted

Think of it....Really it's no different in buying herbs or fresh produce from a supermarket... if you bought brocolli with cobwebs in, would you smoke that? or eat it, or whatever you do with vegetables.

Seriously though, if you have purchased something of organic nature these things do happen, if your guy is generally good, write it off as a first strike, and continue using him, but i would ask for the product replaced, whether its harmful or safe to smoke, do you really want to take lungfuls of cob-web and pay for the pleasure? i know i wouldnt.

Kindly ask for your money back point out politely that you know how these things can happen with the nature of organic compounds, but that you shouldn't pay for such defects...if your care giver has been in it for a while, he should know this, and know occasionally, with the nature of this business you have to write off bad stock from time to time, this shouldn't be your financial burden...Just sayin...

As I sit here and wait for my very first plant to bloom, she's 3rd week into flower and the buds are already looking better than 90 percent of the bull shit these dealers around here call weed. My favorite part about all this is how they all just think I am stupid and must not know what good weed is, cuz I keep coming back...WRONG! I keep coming back cuz you're all I got, in 2 more months I will never have to do this again and they won't ever see or hear from me ever again. Nothing ever taste right and I know it's always de-keifed by the time I get to it. I have like 3-4 differ dealers too and it's all shit they try and pass off as "OG kush", or "Girl Scout Cookies". Talking like "it's that gas". Yea fuck you Andrew, Mike and Cody, your fucking bud sucks and I aint even callin' your stanky asses ever again! Rant over. Sorry.

Dude, I cant tell you how good it feels. For real, same shit. Couldnt wait till i harvested to tell my guy FU. I was paying out the ass, $320 oz and would get fluffy bud. occasional mold. Shit residue in my mouth. F that shit, i was paying good $. Patience was weaing thin , then he drops mid like shit on me and it was light. I started my 3 month countdown and never looked back.

Anyway, he lost a great customer of 10 years. $500-700 a month, easy. Thats about what i spent to get started. Easily made that back after my first harvest just saving me visiting him. He still texts me how good his stuff is. Lol.

that's why i started! i wanted one-hit and quit personal stash that didn't smoke like a pine tree! though i would recommend not telling your old dealer FU initially because i recall that i ended up seeing my guy maybe after six months of growing...i'd gotten used to smoking ALL the time and was not running my perpetual yet (hadn't figured it out but had started) and was out for another few weeks. he wondered where i had gone because i was a good customer too. not having to drive with an ounce or more on you in the middle of the city (in all kinds of weather) is a wonderful feeling. being out and just getting another mason jar full of personal head-stash from my cupboard is also another wonderful feeling. one day our medicine will not be illegal!

update for you guys
my care giver called me explained that it was 2 different strains 1 was his and the other his partner
as he didn't have enough to fill my needs so he got some from his partner
which explains a lot
apologized and said he would replace it on the next harvest
said upon inspecting his partners bud he found that it had spider mites hidden inside the bud, on the inside along the stem he found a white cottony substance which he said is their web
he said he didn't see any mites just the webbing
said he didn't know or he wouldn't have given it to me
which you guys had already told me it was spider mites webbing
so i told him from now on if he doesn't have any or enough for my needs i'd rather go with out
i had called a local compation center told them my issue they said bring the bud and they'd gladly inspect it for me
so i had flushed the cob web bud right away after talking to you guys so i brought them the other bud upon their inspection they said it was fine was white hairs and crystals not white dots no sign of mold or mites made my day but still lary of smoking it seeing how it was in the same package as the tainted bud
but thanks again for your time input and help
