White fluffy subtance

a white fluffy substance is developing around the base of one of my stems in my garden....is it mold or spider mites? i know a picture would help but just try to imagine what white fluffy maybe powdery stuff be... more of a 3d fluff than a 2d powder

i am growing in hydro btw... i touched it or scraped it with a wet green brillow pad and it kinda disolved like cotton candy.... i am scared o_o

I've had this too man....It never caused a problem....I just did what you did but with a tooth pic, and it dissappears for a while but comes back......just keep that white shit in check and show it whos boss! lol

Don't worry....as long as the plants look good, your good....

thats tight....but i don't know my plants don't look too good. they get these brown spots on the the fan leaves.... some other weird shit....and the tips are kinda burnt looking :[ i dunno, i keep pH in check, i sprayed with neem oil, light is a good distance, temp is good, ppms are good, i dunno man...

i had this similar substance growing in the top soil, and on the edge of my pots once. it went away after i transplanted into plastic pots.
are you growing with cley bead?

no and i am in a all water drip system... just imagine what it looks like...basic white fluffy moldy shit

Most likely your humidity spiked and it would be just that. Mold. I had it once and scooped it off the surface increased my airflow and no problems since.

i got that white mold shit too. i just carefully scraped it off all 6 of my plant's grow cubes. to do this i used a knife, and after scrapping each side i would clean the knife with alcohol. i also increased my air flow, so we'll just have to see what happens. i hope leaves stop looking like shit!
